The Merino Country Vignerons Association
Inc. (formerly Goulburn District Vignerons Association) was established to bring together grape growers and wine makers in the northern
parts of the Southern New South Wales Zone surrounding the city of Goulburn, who do not otherwise fit into any of the district Geographic Indicator regions as defined by the Australian Wine and Brandy Corporation

There are a number of small vineyards and
boutique wineries in this area, which falls
between the Canberra, Hilltops, Cowra,
Orange, Southern Highlands and the South
Coast GI districts.

This is a cool climate region with elevations
mostly between 500 and 900 meters allowing
the production of quality grapes. Spring frosts
can be a problem. However, when these are
managed, the resultant grapes can produce
magnificent wine.

Members' vineyards and wineries are shown on the following clickable MAP
